Emma Sandall<\/strong> \u00a0was born in Australia and educated at Academy Ballet Sydney. <\/span><\/p>\n

She won the silver medal<\/strong> at the Adeline Gen\u00e9e Awards competition in 1993 and a Prix de Lausanne scholarship in 1994. <\/span><\/p>\n

She continued her studies<\/strong> at the Royal Ballet School in London and the Australian Ballet School. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to her international career,<\/strong> she works with renowned teachers like Azari Plissetski, Maina Gielgud, Galina Panova, Renato Paroni di Castro, Antonia Francesci, Simon Dow, David Howard, Christine Anthony, Ivan Cavallari and Garry Trinder. <\/span><\/p>\n

She discovers different techniques<\/strong> such as: the Maggie Black technique, Gaga, and various styles of contemporary dance and improvisation. <\/span><\/p>\n

She has danced in many international companies<\/strong> including the B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne, the Royal Ballet of London, Scottish Ballet, West Australian Ballet and Ludwig (an independent dance company) where she has performed roles of soloist and principal dancer including Myrta , Queen of the Willis \u2013 Giselle (Cavallari), Choleric \u2013 Four Temperaments (Balanchine), Sugar Plum Fairy \u2013 Casse Noisette (B\u00e9jart) ;, L’Elue \u2013 Sacre du Printemps (B\u00e9jart), Alice \u2013 Alice (Dow), Swanhilda\u2013 Coppelia (Parrott), Cinderella \u2013 Cinderella (Dow), Titania \u2013 A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Parrott), Bolero (Zuska), Step Lightly (Lightfoot), Pas de Six \u2013 Taming of the Shrew (Cranko), Kalmuk (Oetinen), Artifact Forsythe), Middlesex Gorge (Petronio), Cheating Lying Stealing (Page), Danse Arabe \u2013 Casse Noisette (B\u00e9jart), Juliet \u2013 Romeo and Juliet (B\u00e9jart), Altenberg (B\u00e9jart), Mutationx (B\u00e9jart) and Clara \u2013 The Nutcracker ( Cavallari), among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2009,<\/strong> she (along with Cass Mortimer-Eipper) formed an independent dance company in Perth to create and dance original choreography, including Fleck & Flecker (co-created with Cass Mortimer-Eipper) which won the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Choreography’ award. , BodySong, a solo short which was danced at the finals of the Stuttgart Solo Dance Theater Festival in March 2012 as well as Crossing Satie, a solo short which won the Bronze medal in 2011 at the Premio Roma Danza; The Young Girl and Death, (co-created with Sthan Kabar-Louet). She created several pas de deux for the candidates of the television show ‘So You Think You Can Dance Australia’ in 2010. <\/span><\/p>\n

In October 2015,<\/strong> she was principal dancer with the Igokat Company in \u201cDansebook\u201d at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne. <\/span><\/p>\n

She is a guest teacher and coach<\/strong> at numerous schools and international companies including Ga\u2019aton Workshop, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and the Israel Ballet (Israel); Atelier Rudra Lausanne and the Igokat Dance Academy (Switzerland); Sydney Dance Company, Brent Street Academy, Ev & Bow and Academy Ballet (Sydney); Strut Dance, Ludwig, Link Dance Company and the Star Academy (Perth); Dance Creation and Dance Your Heart Out \u2013 Ausdance Victoria (Melbourne). <\/span><\/p>\n

Emma is currently a journalist for Dance Australia Magazine and Dance Europe Magazine as well as a teacher, choreographer and freelance dancer.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
