WHO ARE WE

OFFICIAL DANCE SCHOOL OF DANSE SUISSE
THE FSED/VST/FSSD & JEUNESSE + SPORT SUISSE

After performing on someof the world’s most prestigious stages throughout their careers,
Igor Piovano and Kathryn Bradney,
former Principal Dancers and Ballet Masters of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne,
founded the Igokat Dance Academy.

Since opening its doors in 2006,
the Academy has grown steadily year after year.
Today, the Centre welcomes more than 800 students.

Igokat offers high-quality dance training for all ages and levels,
from young children to adults, with recreational,
pre-professional, and professional programs.

Students aspiring to a career in dance
can follow the Academy’s pre-professional training program,
which provides up to 30 hours of instruction per week,
combining technical excellence, artistic development, and individualized guidance.

Each year, new young talents join the Academy,
and many of its students have gone on to study and perform
with internationally renowned dance schools and professional companies.

This success reflects the Academy’s commitment to excellence
and its dedication to nurturing the next generation of dancers.

Our studios

Igokat has three spacious studios, the first one built in 1953
to welcome Boris Kniaseff the “Master of Étoiles” and his International Dance Academy.
Here he creates his famous floor barre and in 1954 Serge Lifar, renowned from the Paris Opera,
takes over the studio and delegates it to his friend Nicolas Zvereff (Diaghilev Russian Ballets).
