Mathilde Kotek

Born in Switzerland, Mathilde discovered the world of dance at a very young age. In 2009, she began her training at the École de Danse de la Côte, where she studied ballet, modern jazz, and contemporary dance for more than ten years.

Throughout this period, she regularly performed in the school’s productions and annual galas, gaining valuable stage experience while developing her artistic sensitivity. She also broadened her training by attending several summer intensive programs, notably at Dance Area and in Vevey.

Dedicated and passionate about dance, Mathilde took part in several competitions, including the French National Dance Competition (Concours National de Danse – CND) in Dijon in 2016, as well as the Concours International de la Côte in 2018 and 2019. These experiences allowed her to strengthen both her technical abilities and her artistic expression, while deepening her appreciation for performance.

Since 2021, she has continued her training at Centre Igokat, where she further develops her skills in ballet, modern, and contemporary dance. She performs in the academy’s productions and participates in various competitions and artistic events.

She also performed during the graduation ceremony of the University of Teacher Education (HEP) at the SwissTech Convention Center, a memorable stage experience that further enriched her artistic journey.

Committed to continuous growth, she regularly attends open classes and workshops organized by the prestigious Prix de Lausanne, one of the world’s leading institutions in the field of dance.

Alongside her artistic career, Mathilde has pursued her academic studies with dedication and is currently completing her Swiss Federal Matura with a specialization in Biology and Chemistry.

Mathilde is currently a ballet teacher for children at the Igokat Dance Academy, where she enjoys sharing her passion for dance and inspiring the next generation of young dancers.
