Ilonna Tognetti Born in Cannes in France, Illona discovered dance at the age of 8, and at 14 began regular and serious classical ballet training.

Upon entering academic high school, she joined the dance-study section at the Master Class Dance School in Villeneuve-Loubet and followed an intensive training program. Reduced school hours allowed her to participate in classical, pointe, modern/jazz, contemporary and floor-barre classes on a daily basis.

She went on to compete in international competitions where she quickly obtained excellent results including the gold medal at the International Competition of Grasse, Florence, Montpellier and many others.

During these competitions, she won internships, obtaining an internship in Montpellier, Marseille, Isle sur la Sorgue, Genoa, Agen, Vichy, Firenze, and a three-week internship in Mexico as well as being selected for the international internship of Dresd in “Ballet Summer School”.

In 2017, she appeared on the France 2 television program “Prodiges” where she finished fourth out of more than 2500 participants and had the chance to dance for famed dancer and jury member Patrick Dupond.

In 2019, she obtained her Baccalaureate in economics and social studies and was chosen for, after audition, the school “Atelier Rudra Béjart Lausanne” under the direction of Michel Gascard.

She danced in various choreographies by Valérie Lacaze and Maurice Béjart, such as Concerto en Ré, le Sacre du Printemps, etc.

She is currently a teacher at the Igokat Dance Academy as well as a freelance teacher and dancer.
