Mélina Brès

Born in Carpentras in France, at the age of 4, she discovered dance in her village school Aca Danse in Beaumes de Venise.

At the age of 8, she was chosen to participate in a pre-professional training program in Classical and Modern/Jazz. Upon entering dance competitions, she received numerous awards including a unanimous first prize in Amiens.

In 2012, she joined the Temps de Flèche school in Carpentras where she followed a more specifically classically oriented curriculum.

During the following years of pre-professional training and participation in numerous internships, she benefited from the valuable advice of renowned dancers and teachers of the Paris Opera such as Françoise Legrée, Monique Arabian, Isabelle Ciaravola, Carole Arbo, and the great choreographer Master Antonio Alvarado.

In 2014, she successfully passed her audition at the National School of Dance in Marseille (ENSDM) and remained there for 2 years. She worked notably with Ghislaine Franchetti, star of the Paris Opéra, who emphasized the importance of detail, endurance, and memorization in the study of classical ballet.

At the same time, she took lessons with Alain Gréco, artistic director, choreographer and director of the Center for Musical Comedy and Dance in Marseille.

In 2016, she successfully passed her entrance audition at the VM Ballet school in Toulouse where she followed a 3-year training program and was engaged in their junior company.

In 2019, she joined the Igokat Dance Academy where she continued her pre-professional training.

From 2020 to 2022, she appeared in various performances of the Igokat Dance Academy and danced the main role in “The Nutcracker”.

She is currently a classical dance teacher for children and adults at the Igokat Dance Academy.
