Mina Schürer was born in 1998 in Biel, Switzerland.

In 2006, she began to take her first dance lessons at the Alma Ballerina Schumacher dance school in Biel-Bienne.

In 2007, she joined the CRP Bern / Neuchâtel for rhythmic gymnastics until 2009.

In 2007 and 2008, she participated in various Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, such as the “Berne Cantonal Championships” and the “Swiss Championship” where she obtained 1st place as well as the “AK Test” (Age-Grade Test).

For the 2008/2009 season, she joined the Swiss National Junior Framework in rhythmic gymnastics.

In 2009, Mina returned to her first passion which was dance and entered the Barbara Bernard Grenchen / Solothurn dance school.

From 2009 to 2011, she was accepted by audition in the encouragement class in Bern where she studied with Genevieve Chaussat, Julie Wherlock and Armin Wild.

In 2010 and 2011, she participated in the Solothurn Dance Competition and obtained the 7th and 4th place ranking.

In 2012, she joined the Basel Dance Academy under the direction of Galina Gladkova Hoffmann.

In 2012, she performed a solo “Insekt” by Dietmar Seyffert in the creation “Caffè des Artistes”.

In 2013, she performed a solo “Last Dance” by Sergio Bustinduy.

From January to June 2013, she was engaged as a dancer by the Basel Theater for the production of the Opera “MANON” by Elmar Goerden.

In 2015, she joined the IGOKAT Dance Academy under the direction of Kathryn Bradney and Igor Piovano.

In July 2015, she won the 1st Prize in the Seniors category at the ConcourStage of the Igokat Dance Academy.

From 2015 to 2017, she participated in various performances of the Igokat Dance Academy, such as, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Cinderella at the Great Igokat Ball” where she danced the lead role.

In 2016, she was a finalist at the International Mediterranean Classic Dance Competition in Nîmes.

In July 2016, she won the 1st Prize in the Seniors category at the ConcourStage of the Igokat Dance Academy.

In August 2016, after audition, she participated in the International “IBStage” Internship in Barcelona for 3 weeks.

In 2017, she won the 3rd Prize in the Pre-pro Classic category at the International Dance Competition of the Prix Arabesque in Belgium.

In 2017, accepted by audition, she joined the Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne under the direction of Michel Gascard.

In December 2017, she participated in the new creation “DIXIT” of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, where she danced the “Sacre du Printemps” by Maurice Béjart.

From 2017 to 2019, at Atelier Rudra Béjart, she danced in various choreographies of Valérie Lacaze, such as, “Omnes Generationes”, “My French Valentina” and a pas de six “Abstractive” as well as in “Mozart Tango” by Maurice Béjart.

In March 2020, she danced as a soloist in the Igokat Company in “The Wall” at the Center Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.

In October 2021, she was principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “L’Hymne à la Joie” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.

She is currently a teacher at the Igokat Dance Academy, soloist with the Igokat Company, teacher and freelance dancer.
