Marie-Hélène Rey Lescure was born in Belley in France. She began her dance training at the age of 6 and studied with Claudine Barragué until she was 18.
In 1985, while continuing her training as a dancer, she obtained her Baccalaureate with honors in mathematics and natural sciences.
In 1987, she continued her studies as a senior aesthetics-cosmetics technician and graduated top of her class as well as the Exit Competition of the École Supérieure des Carrières Féminines de Vichy.
From 1989 to 1993, she worked as an information officer for Laboratoires Servier (France).
While working, her passion for “La Danse” stayed with her and she continued to take lessons to perfect her technique.
In 1994, she moved to Switzerland to follow her family and work as an independent secretary in an osteopathy practice while later opening her “Centre Epildef” in Montreux.
In the move, she did not forget to take her dancing shoes with her, and she continued to take dance lessons in different schools in Switzerland (Centre Igokat Lausanne, Les Sylphides Montreux, etc…).
Between 1995 and 2013, she danced in numerous performances at the Vevey Theater as part of “Animai” as well as for shows at the “Les Sylphides” school in Montreux.
Before coming to teach in 2015 at the Igokat Dance Academy, she taught in various schools in Switzerland.
Since 2015, she has been a Dance Instructor for Kids and Young People for “Jeunesse + Sport” in Switzerland.
She is currently a teacher at the Igokat Dance Academy as well as a freelance teacher.
