Julie Lamby was born in Belgium. She received a diploma from the Académie Grétry de Liège under the directorship of Suzy Keteleer.
From 1993 to 1999, she completed her studies at the Athénée de Fragnée with the «Humanités Chorégraphiques».
In 1999, she joined the Rudra Béjart school and in 2001 up until 2003, she was offered a contract as a soloist dancer for Béjart Ballet Lausanne where she danced «Les 7 Danses Grecques», «Concerto en Ré», «Le Sacre Du Printemps», «Ballet For Life», «La Route d’Athina» and «Symphonie pour un Homme Seul» as well as others.
In 2003 and 2004, she danced as a principal dancer for Vevey Youth Ballet.
In 2005, she danced as a principal dancer with the Igokat Company in «Carta Bianca» at Bra, Italy.
In 2006, she danced as a principal dancer with the Igokat company in «Stars of Christmas» at Mondovi.
In March 2008, she participated as a principal dancer in collaboration with the WWF and Diams.ch for the Panda Ball Gala in Monaco.
In April 2008, she worked in collaboration with the choir «Elle en C» as a choreographer and principal dancer.
In May 2008, she danced as a principal dancer with Igokat Company for the creation of «Dentro» at the Métropole Theatre in Lausanne.
In December 2008, she danced as a principal dancer in the production of the Belle Hélène for the Opera of Lausanne.
In 2009, she danced as a principal dancer in «Le 6ème Elément» with the Igokat Company at the Métropole Theatre in Lausanne, as well as for the re-opening of the Théâtre du Jorat with «Dentro».
In Novembre 2009, she danced as a principal dancer with the Igokat Company at the Teatro Nuovo de Turin for the second anniversary of the passing of Maurice Béjart.
In 2009, she became a member and is registered as a professional dance teacher in Switzerland (Danse Suisse).
In 2009, she was invited to teach at the ‘Stage de danse’ (Stagededanse.be) which is held in Liège, Belgium, every year during the months of August under the directorship of Marie Doutrepont.
In 2010, she became one of the video makers for the Prix de Lausanne for its artistic vision of dance.
In 2010, she danced as a principal dancer in «Le 6ème Elément» for the opening of the Lugano Festival as well as in the new creation of «Tais-toi et Danse!» at the Métropole Theatre in Lausanne.In 2011, she danced as a principal in «BD – Ballet Dessiné» at the Octogone Theatre in Pully and at the Vevey Theatre.
In 2012, she danced as a principal with the Igokat Company in «Une Chance, un Sourire» at l’Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne and at the Marens Theatre in Nyon.
In 2012, she became a monitor for the young dancers and children for the ‘Jeunesse & Sport’ in Switzerland and became part of the FSED (Fédération Suisse des Écoles de Danse).
In 2012, she was an instructor for the children and young dancers in the selections for the Gymnastic and Dance at «Jeunesse et Sport» in Switzerland .During 2013, she was a jury member for the ‘Sport-études’ audition for the Jura Canton (Délémont).
In October 2013, she danced as a principal with the Igokat Company in «Give & Take» at l’Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
During 2013, she was a member of the jury for the ‘Sport, Art, Études’ audition in Delémont in the Jura Canton.
In Novemeber 2013, she choreographed and danced as a principal dancer in «Tango de Piazzola» with Giuliano Cardone for the «Midi-Concert» at the Conservatoire de Lausanne with the musicians: Magalie Bourquin, Felix Froschhammer and Nico Prinz.
In December 2013, she danced as a principal with the Igokat Company in extracts of «Give & Take» for the re-opening of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
In December 2013, she was invited to dance as principal with Pasquale Alberico for the «Villars On Ice» Gala with Stéphane Lambiel in Villars.
In April 2014, the Olympic Museum of Lausanne hired her as a a choreographer and a host for the two week workshop «Créa-mouv’» for the «Pakomusé».
In June 2014, she choreographed several pieces for the ballet «Alice in Wonderland in 2014» for the Igokat Dance School.
In October and November 2014, she danced as a principal with the Igokat Company in «Vouloir c’est Pouvoir» at l’Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In November 2014, she was invited to dance as a principal dancer with Pasquale Alberico for the gala at the Kempinski Hotel in Genève.
In December 2014, she was invited to dance as a principal dancer with Giuliano Cardone for the Nestlé Gala in Vevey.
In January 2015, she was principal dancer and choreographer with Giuliano Cardone in the show “Noche de Tango” with Juan Etchepareborda (singer) and Pascal Danet (pianist) at the Café-théâtre de la Voirie in Lutry.
Since 2015, she has been a guest teacher at the “La Terna” dance workshop which takes place every July in Mondovi, Italy, under the direction of Patrizia Piovano.
In October and November 2015, she was principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “dansebook” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In December 2015 and January 2016, she was hired as a dancer for the Opéra de Lausanne in “My fair Lady”.
In January 2016, she was principal dancer with the Compagnie Igokat in “dansebook” at the Théâtre de Colombier in Neuchâtel.
In June 2016 and 2017, she choreographed for the Igokat Dance Academy, the ballet “Cinderella at the Grand Bal d’Igokat”.
In June 2016, she was invited as a principal dancer at the “Gospel Air” at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne.
In November 2016, she was the principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “Romeo seeks Juliet” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In November 2017, she was the principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “Petrouchka le Clown” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In 2018 and 2019, she choreographed for the Igokat Dance Academy, the ballet “The Carnival of the Animals”.
In November and December 2018, she was principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “Il Maestro Vivaldi” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
Since 2019, she has been a guest teacher for the Migros Cultural Percentage Dance Competition.
In March 2020, she is the principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “The Wall” at the Center Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In June 2021, she choreographed “The Nutcracker” for the Igokat Dance Academy.
In October 2021, she was principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “L’Hymne à la Joie” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
She is currently co-director and teacher at the Igokat Dance Academy, Principal Dancer with the Igokat Company, as well as a freelance teacher, dancer and choreographer.
