Clélia Mercier was born in Belgium, she started dancing at the age of 4 in Brussels.

She trained at the Center de Danse Choreart, under the direction of Colette Coenraets.

In 2012, she was admitted to the École-Atelier Rudra-Béjart and accompanied the Béjart Ballet Lausanne during performances of the Rite of Spring.

In 2014, she joined the Béjart Ballet company, after having participated in the NDT Summer Intensive in Den Haag. For four years, she danced there the repertoire of Maurice Béjart including the Presbytery, the Seven Greek Dances, the 9th Symphony, the Magic Flute …

She participates in the creations of Julio Arozarena (Corps-Circuit), Gil Roman (Impromptu, Tombées de la Derniere Rain, T’M and Variations) and guest choreographers.

At the same time, she participated with other dancers from the Bejart ballet in the creation of “This is a Rose” by Julio Arozarena and performs an excerpt from his piece “Des pas à pas perd” at the perpetuum festival in Brussels in August 2018.

In November and December 2018, she was a principal dancer with the Igokat Company in “Il Maestro Vivaldi” at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.

She is currently a dancer for the Igokat Company and a freelance dancer.
