THE IGOKAT COMPANY
The Company Igokat was started in 2007
brought about by the directors Kathryn Bradney and Igor Piovano.
Both were principal dancers and ballet masters
with Maurice Bejart (the Béjart Ballet Lausanne) for 19 years.
The choreographies, by Kathryn Bradney and Igor Piovano,
are neo-classical and reunite contemporary and classical dance in perfect harmony.
The Igokat company dancers are from different countries and nationalities, including,
Italy, Belgium, the USA and Switzerland.
A form of contemporary dance
made up of ruptures, changes of energy and contradictions.
A Company which has developed its own vocabulary, language, and choreographic process through creation.
The creations of the company question the state of the world, society, and reality.
In our performances, passion for dance and a perfect balance
between virtuosity and stage expression are established.
Our artistic vision is constantly linked to the major themes of current events.
